Auditions

Immediately preceding the beginning of the new season, auditions are held to fill any vacancies existing in the orchestra. Depending upon the needs of the orchestra, students may audition after the season has begun. Students are asked to play a solo and scales; sight-reading is also required. A fee of $15 is charged for the audition. Interested musicians should contact Pam Nogal to schedule an audition. Acceptance into MYSO requires payment of a $225 membership fee and a sincere commitment by the musician to attend each rehearsal and performance.
